The 2020 Rkatsiteli has a moderate lemon appearance. On the nose, there is plenty of this Caucasian variety’s trademark quince, red pear and nectarine fruit with a touch of white flower and some nutty, slightly honeyed development. On the palate, the 2020 Rkatsiteli is full-bodied with some lively acidity and a rich palate of relatively well-integrated 14.5% alcohol supporting the core of ripe, dense Rkatsiteli fruit (think quince, think membrillo). There is also a subtle palate texture from some lees influence, adding a sensation of creaminess offsetting the lively acid, long finish.
